Thanks so much for having recipes with just Stevia! I can’t tolerate sugar alcohol.

So instead of the ice cream, I will probably use coconut cream and guar gum to thicken it up.

I was noticing that you say that you grew up with your mom calling them a hoagie and in Connecticut that they are grinders, but where I am from in Tennessee they are called subs : )

You know, I never realized the tonic thing until you mentioned that. It's the same thing with sub sandwiches. I used to call them hoagies because my mother's family is from Philadelphia and I lived in PA when I was really young, but in Connecticut they are grinders.

You are absolutely correct about milkshakes! I was born and raised about 35 miles from Boston and worked several summers at an ice cream stand while still a teenager. We made frappes all the time, one of the best things about summer.

Later on, after moving to Denver, whenever I asked for one of those awesome drinks, the person behind the counter would look at me as tho I was speaking in a foreign language! And the "milk shake" I was given was terrible. Syrup flavored milk!

BTW I had the same problem with drinks like Coca Cola or Pepsi. I would ask for a "tonic" because that's what we called them in Massachusetts, but everywhere else they are called "pops" or "sodas".

What a wild and crazy country!
