A review of some of the new Chosen Foods Low Carb Products. You will love the avocado oil mayo, bites with chia, and chia slims to boost your water drink.
Have you heard of Chosen Foods? I just recently discovered this health food company. They are pretty well known for their avocado oil which is something that I hadn’t tried until given a few samples from Chosen Foods. This healthy alternative to olive oil is available in some select Costco stores, including a few of the ones in Connecticut close to New York City. That’s a little far for me to travel, so I will have to buy mine online until they start selling the oil in markets closer to where I live.
Chosen Foods just launched some new product lines which I was happy to try. I received a nice box of low carb products last week and wanted to share my thoughts. With the launch of these new products, Chosen Foods is offering free shipping from their online store. Simply enter the coupon code “CFSHIPS15” when checking out to have your order shipped free.
All of the products Chosen Foods offers are healthy, nutrient dense and low in sugar. If you are on the go and want a healthy snack pack, the bites with chia. The vanilla flavor has only 4 grams of sugar per pack so it’s an ideal snack for a boost of energy without spiking blood sugar. The mango flavor has a couple more grams of sugar due to the dried pieces of mango in it, but still a healthy choice at 6 grams of sugar in a single serving packet. Both flavors pack 4 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. Each chia bite serving has about 150 calories and 10 grams of fat.

Their new Avocado Oil Mayo is free of nasty ingredients. It’s got just a touch of organic honey, but I couldn’t detect the sweetness so it can’t be much. Also, the label lists 0g carbs per serving. I used it to make a large batch of egg salad for the week. Tasted great with just a sprinkling of salt and pepper.
I was given three sample packs of 100% pure avocado oil. One pack was enough to brush on 4 large chicken thighs that I baked with some light seasoning. My husband told me it was the best baked chicken that I have made in a while. I typically use olive oil which my husband doesn’t care for. The Chosen Foods avocado oil has a much more neutral taste. I didn’t bother telling my husband what I did different. If he knew it was coated with healthy avocado oil, he might refuse to eat it. Other 100% Pure cooking oils that Chosen Foods offers includes sesame oil and peanut oil. There’s even a Chosen Blend which combines both coconut and avocado oils. Two of the best oils in one bottle! They also have avocado, coconut and olive oils in spray containers.
The Chia seeds stickpacks are a neat way to get a chia boost on the go. Simply dump the entire contents into a 16 ounce water bottle and shake the seeds in or stir them into a glass of your favorite low carb beverage. An instant chia bubble drink that’s made fresh and convenient without any measuring or mess.
