YUMMMMM!!!! Looking for something quick to make for dinner with a pound of ground meat and decided on this. So quick and easy to throw together during a busy week night. I made a *Big Mac* type sauce to top it with for serving and it was a hit! Good flavor and easy to prepare - that's a win!!!

I made this tonight because I happened to have all the ingredients. It was OK, but I found it to be very bland. I love to cook and have done so for 70 years. I did add garlic and pepper to this, plus sliced mushrooms. If I make it again, I will have to something to spice it up somehow. Perhaps some chopped olives and diced peppers.

In reply to <a href="https://lowcarbyum.com/cheeseburger-pie/#comment-18974">Sherri</a>.

I will admit first off of changing the recipe to my tastes. Although it’s a great idea and foundation recipe.
What I changed was I used yellow squash flour instead of coconut flour and I added a drained can of rotel to my meat while it was cooking. I also added some cumin and I think garlic salt? It just didn’t seem like there was enough seasoning in the original recipe for our tastes.
Other than that I’d say use this as a starting point and then play around with it.
I also used an 8x8 baking dish. 😄

Great recipe! I switched the coconut flour (1/3 cup) and almond flour (3 tablespoons) at 1:3 ratio so I used 1 tablespoon of coconut flour and 1 cup of almond flour because I prefer the texture of almond flour (I'm not sure if I did that conversion right but it turned out amazing still)

I used ground sausage and only almond flour. Used a garlic onion seasoning. This was so delicious 😋. I didn't make a side dish with it, so we ate it all. My husband absolutely loved it.

Good meal. Quick fix. I added a shredded carrot to meat and onion. Then some seasonings, garlic pepper, hamburger seasoning, etc. I think I will try sausage to make it a breakfast option. Thanks for sharing. Pop up ads are a nuisance.

Goodness is how I would explain this recipe. In all honesty I didnt have much hope of it delivering a 'cheeseburger taste' at all. Thinking the flour mixture would take away from the cheese and hamburger but I was proven wrong. It actually added to the depth since not using a burger bun. Only thing I did differently was topped it with tomato, pickle and real bacon bits. May add a dollop of keto mayo for my next piece. Well done and THANK YOU.
Oh and using a pie plate is perfect!
