I have found that Arby's has been the best at removing the bread. They will actually break it down and put it in separate containers.

I just wish Sonic would let you punch in a "no bread" option in the app. I suggested that to them through their official site and got back something like "we can't control what our location-specific stores do" which didn't make a lot of sense. If you show up at any of the shops and say "no bread", you get a funny response sometimes, but they figure out how to do it.
