Freezing leftover dessert is what I do. I cut them into small pieces and freeze, then I can have it when I crave a sweet, or I am low on my food intake for the day without blowing my goals.

In reply to <a href="https://lowcarbyum.com/low-carb-diet-tips/#comment-51742">Debbie</a>.

I'm Keto but despite my lifelong preference for savory over sweet, my later years (maybe even bc of my chronic pain meds), I now have an enormous sweet tooth... which is also why I'm going Keto after years after falling off of it & gaining at least 100+ pounds!

There are low carb sweet choices these days & peanut butter is NOT one of them! PB is FULL OF SUGAR - which definitely will throw you out of ketosis & losing weight if that was your goal... Do yourself a favor & get a jar of natural, SUGAR FREE free ALMOND BUTTER instead - if you've found yourself now addicted to a spoonful of Peanut Butter these days. Lately, I've found myself getting addicted to Atkins Nut Bars when I've been craving sweets but watch how many you eat! 2 for an entire day is just squeezing by throwing yourself off... & even have found Slimfast Mint Chocolate cups to die for! Don't overdo though! Atkins also has some awesome shakes - strawberry & dark choc are my favs & you can find a Atkins "bundle" with a lot of searching thru Wlmt online , where they must be paying attention - for $10 you choose a 4pack Atkins shake bundled with a choice of bars... choose the 30 bars to get 5 boxes of 5 bars each (or you could choose 1 box of 5 for the same price, though dont know why youd want to do that)! Someone'snot doing their math or something, but I'vebeen buying those $10 bundles for months - and they still haven't caught on that they should be losing money by doing it! Oh well, maybe theyre extra or bulk, but I'm ot complaining AND there are plenty to tie my sweet tooth over for awhile!
FYI - I ahve gone thru every nut nutrition info out there, and have found that the the lowest carb nuts are either almonds or macadamia nuts (which have a ton of fat), as well as a smaller amt of walnuts. Pumpkin seeds work too - but almost every other one incl peanuts just have too much sugar - fiber content or not.

Also, but be careful, sugar free Torini, Skinny Mix or other flavored syrups are great - BUT WATCH THE AMT bc its so easy to overdo it. Mix for a treat in your coffee w some heavy cream or 1/2&1/2 OR mix up into some cream cheese - which you can then add eggs & vanilla to, to make yourself some little cheesecakes in muffin tins or cupcake wrappers... I also have a bag of erythritol to replace sugar in recipes via Wlmt online too, which I have still to actually use. Just remember, the less the better all the way around (also sugar alcohols tend to make you sit on the commode a little longer- if you catch my drift) when you overdo it too....
BUT those could certainly help curb your sweet tooth without knocking you off your diet! Hope some suggestions might help!

I'd recommend freezing any extra sweets and getting your portions under control. I used to have the same problem as I'd make a lot of sweet recipes for the site and would be the only one eating them. As you can see from my latest posts, there aren't as many sweet recipes as there used to be. The reason is because I'd overeat them! So focus more on the savory recipes to fill up and keep treats out of sight (freezer).

Like Claire, I find it difficult to eat low carb, because of my sweet tooth. I've tried making low carb desserts, but I eat too much at once. My husband doesn't eat low carb, so I eat the cakes etc. he eats. I've gained weight and can't seem to get my "sweet tooth" under control. Lately my dessert has been peanut butter, with roasted walnuts, mixed in. But every few days, I binge on cake or something. It's been very frustrating!
