The downfall with ordering without or even with the bread, you are still paying for the bread also. Fast food places really need to be able to lower the price just a bit to have without breading

You can just order your burgers with no buns at McDs and have them add extra lettuce! I didn’t know that about A&W though thanks for that tip- I like A&W the best out of fast food burgers

My kids love McDonald’s breakfast. Here in Canada you can really tailor your order. So, I order a sausage and egg McMuffin with no english muffins (I mean why waste it?) add an extra egg, and a slice of tomato. It’s SO GOOD! Like a McMuffin with an egg bun (they stack it egg, sausage, cheese, tomato, egg even! )

I wish the McDonalds next door offered the same thing.

I'm not sure if those are here in the Northeast US. I'm not familiar with that chain. But those are some good picks for snacks while traveling when you need a quick bite.

When I eat fast food I've found that the ketchup really doesn't matter, as most of it soaks into the bun, which I throw away.

I really like the Wendys grilled chicken sandwich, I get it with mayo only and eat it like a squeeze-up ice cream.

Interesting article. Here in Winnipeg, Manitoba...up north in Canada... our A & W restaurants
have bun-less burgers. Just a burger wrapped in Iceberg Lettuce. They have an online "nutritional
values" chart on their site. May be worth looking into for you, if you're into fast food as I think that
A & W is available in the U.S. of A., being an American company (at a California start up, I believe).
Just thought you may be interested.
PS: when travelling you can always pick up hard boiled eggs, cheese sticks, pepperoni sticks and like items at a Walmart or even at some of the gas station stops.

My go to at Mc D is the artisan grilled chicken, no bun, no sauce, and a side salad. Makes a large chicken salad when mixed together. I do put a smidgen of ranch dressing on top. Just enough to add a little flavor. Not even 1/4 of a packet.
