I am questioning the amount of liquid required. I used an Instant Pot recipe in a 3 Qt Pot. The recipe calls for 1 cup chicken broth! I note the basic instructions say always use more (I forgot exactly how much ) liquid than that. Then I looked at recipes for other foods & they don't call for any liquid at all!! This is my first cooking experiment in the Instant Pot, so I don't know what's what. I grew up with the big pot on the stove with the little round regulator, but that was 55 yrs ago!! My pork roast should be done in 10 or 15 min!!

I was looking for a recipe using a cut of pork, a pork sirloin roast boneless. I have been using my old pressure cooker a bit more recently, it does a great job still, it's a fifty year old Mirro brand, rather heavy aluminum pot, does a great job on country style pork ribs either bone-in or boneless, 30 minutes at 5 lbs, they turn out perfect. Your recipe here calls for 25 minutes on high. My old cooker still has the original round valve that goes on top of lid, I recall directions, bring pot to a boil, then reduce heat so that valve slowly releases pressure as heat is continued, to be applied, for, here, 25 minutes. At 5 lbs, with 30 minutes, my ribs are quite nicely done. My pressure cooker as old as it is, still a great way to cook, low heat, no heating up of kitchen, and truly, I really can simply set a timer once the pot is hot, at 5lbs pressure, valve is chattering a bit, on perhaps medium low burner setting, and only come back when 30 minutes is completed.

If doing a natural pressure release, I'd recommend cutting down the cook time too. So only cook 20 minutes and do a NPR for like 10 or so.

How long would you NP release? I also have a roast a little over 4 lbs so I was going to do 33 minutes but I'm not sure how long to allow natural pressure to go.
