Chaffles (Keto Cheese Waffles)

It's so easy to make these low-carb cheese waffles with just 4 ingredients. Simply combine the ingredients together and cook in a waffle iron!

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon coconut flour or 3 tablespoons almond flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  • Combine the egg, mozzarella cheese, coconut flour (or almond flour), and baking powder together to form a batter. I recommend using a small blender or food processor to mix the cheese into the other ingredients well.
  • Transfer half of the batter into a mini waffle maker (or center of a standard waffle maker) and cook until edges have browned, about 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

Notes

Larger batches can be made to have pre-made chaffles to enjoy later. Cooked waffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or up to 3 months in the refrigerator.
Herbs and seasonings can be added to the batter to change up the taste. Try adding in an everything bagel mix, onion powder, or garlic powder.
Cream cheese can be used in place of some of the mozzarella cheese.
