Quick and easy strawberry sauce that's delicious and goes great with yogurt. Simply just slice up the strawberries and add some sweetener for this treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries washed, hulled and sliced
  • ¼ cup low carb sugar substitute can be adjusted to taste
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • Place the strawberries in a medium pot. Sprinkle on sweetener and pour in water.
  • Heat over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes to soften strawberries.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Use to flavor plain yogurt, or as a topping for ice cream and waffles.

Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for at least 3 months when placed in an airtight container.
