Breakfast is about to become your favorite meal of the day, thanks to this cabbage hash browns recipe. It's so crispy and salty that you won't miss the potatoes at all.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl with the exception of the oil.
Heat a layer of oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
When the oil is hot, form the cabbage mixture into pancakes, and drop them into the skillet.
Brown on both sides until crispy.
Remove, and allow to drain on a paper towel lined plate before serving.
I like to use the pre-shredded cabbage. If you grate the cabbage yourself, you may need to use paper towels to soak up any excess moisture. I do find that box graters will bring out more of the liquid in grated cabbage when compared to used a food processor grating blade.
There are a lot of different variations for crispy cabbage hash browns. Here are a few to try.
- Make it sweeter. Add a little bit of your favorite sugar substitute.
- Use an air fryer. If you don't want to pan-fry the keto cabbage hash browns, cook them in an air fryer - just place aluminum foil in the basket before you add the hash browns.
- Make it spicy. Drizzle some sriracha or hot sauce on top.
