Although I prefer baking from scratch, I like to keep low carb box mixes on hand for convenience. I have tried a lot of mixes and a lot of them just aren't worth buying. They are either too expensive or just don't have a good taste.
One of these days, I need to come up with some of my own homemade baking mixes that I can package up. I used to pre-measure all the dry ingredients and put them in labeled zipper bags, but I haven't done that since going low carb.
It does save time when you don't have to measure all the dry ingredients. So, anther item for my "to do" list. Come up with homemade low carb baking mixes!
One of the things I've struggled with is making a good homemade low carb bread easily and quickly with consistent results. I have tried the Bob's Red Mill low carb bread mix which is a yeast bread.
The taste of the Bob's Red Mill bread isn't that great and the texture is a bit rubbery. And, if you don't have a bread maker, it's a bit of work to make as you'll have to let it rise and then do the kneading by hand. You also need to make sure you have whipping cream, canola oil, and an egg to make the bread.
A much easier gluten free low carb bread mix is made by Sukrin. These bread mixes recently became available in the US and can be ordered from SukrinUSA.com. To bake this bread, all you need is the contents of the mix and water!
Sukrin is Scandinavia and Europe’s leading brand for natural origin, non-GMO health foods. They offer low carb sweeteners, nut flours, bread mixes, and milk chocolates.
The Sukrin low carb bread mixes are easy to make and taste great. There are three flavors available: Oats & Sesame, Sunflower Pumpkin Seed, and Chia Hemp.
All of the Sukrin bread mixes are low carb and super easy to make. The only ingredient you need is water! There is an option to use milk instead of water if you prefer.
And, these mixes are all free of wheat, egg, soy, dairy, gluten, yeast, additives, preservatives, and artificial colors. So, they are the closest thing to your own homemade baking mix!
If you love the convenience of a bread mix, but just don't have the time or ingredients to make your own from scratch, I highly recommend checking out the low carb bread mixes made by Sukrin.

I ordered the "Try Them" packs of the both the 3 types of sweeteners and the almond flour and two bread mixes. Made a cake with the almond flour and sweetener and it was the best I have ever tried!!
I made the bread the other night to go with our dinner, and my grandson really loved it and went back for more! This was the sesame seed bread mix and it really had a delicious flavor and good texture 🙂

Thanks for sharing! I think Sukrin makes excellent low carb products and the prices are very reasonable when buying direct.

I was intrigued by having a product in my own back yard, as I live over seas, for a change and went on Amazon to see what it looked like and where I could order it, etc. While this bread looks absolutely delicious, and fulfills all my low carb and gluten free requirements, the cost for 2 boxes was $64 on Amazon before tax and shipping. According to the description this will yield 4 loaves. So this is $16 per loaf. I am just trying your bread recipes and am having some success at a 10th of the cost so I'm sticking with that until it becomes more reasonable to purchase.

Ros - I ordered directly from Sukrin and the cost was much less than what you found at Amazon -- and the Try It packages are at a discount price.

I also ordered all three bread mixes, but the nutrition info is not in English.
Can you tell me the carb counts on all three of them?
Thanks
Lisa

I am excited to try this! I ordered three of their bread mixes to see if I like them and which might be my favorite. Low carb is the mainstay of my nutritional goals now and I think it is helping me not only lose weight but I believe my blood sugars are lowering! I will know for sure in a few months. So it would be great if these work out! Thanks!! Love your site!! 😎
