    The Perfect Snack Bite

These keto fat bombs are the perfect solution when you need a boost of healthy fats. They will keep you feeling full between meals when you need it most!

Ingredients For White Chocolate Fat Bomb

There are literally just three ingredients in these little fat bombs. All you need to make them is some:

    • Cocoa butter
    • Coconut oil
    • Vanilla stevia drops

The vanilla stevia gives them a fantastic flavor while the cocoa butter and coconut oil are both excellent sources of healthy fats!

Please note: Check out the recipe card at the bottom for a full list of ingredients used to make this low carb recipe.

If you prefer to make these fat bombs along with me, take a look at this video tutorial I put together for you!

How To Make White Chocolate Fat Bombs

These are so easy to make! You can scroll down to the printable recipe card for the entire recipe.

First, I want to share an overview of how to make them.

Basically, all you do is melt the cocoa butter and coconut oil over low heat or in a double broiler.

    melting ingredients in chocolate melter

After they are completely melted (it doesn't take very long), stir in the stevia drops.

Then, pour this mixture into silicone cupcake molds/cups. Put these in the refrigerator or freezer until they are completely hardened.

    That's it!

Frequently Asked Questions About Keto Fat Bombs

Before I get to the recipe card, I wanted to answer a few questions about fat bombs.

How much fat is in each fat bomb?

I was able to divide the melted fat so that each mold had about 1 tablespoon of fat.

I recently discovered how much better a low carb diet works when high amounts of fat are incorporated into the food.

Like most people, I grew up thinking more fat was bad, but it turns out the opposite is true when you eat a low carb diet.

How many fat bombs can I eat on keto?

You'll need to count your macros to make sure you are eating what your body needs. Some people need more healthy fats than others and some need to eat fewer.

This white chocolate keto fat bombs recipe will become a favorite way consume fat!

For most people, one fat bomb a day is plenty to give them the fat their body needs in order to stay in ketosis.

How do fat bombs keep me in ketosis?

When you eat something with lots of healthy fats (like these fat bombs) your body starts to become trained to use fat as energy instead of carbs.

Fatty acids from dietary fat and body fat can be used directly by cells as a source of energy on a low carb diet. Dietary fat also produces ketones which are another source of energy for the body.

On a low carb diet, ketones are an important replacement for glucose.

Reducing carbs will trigger the conversion of body fat into ketones so they can be used as a source of cellular energy. This is what helps you lose weight.

How long do fat bombs last in the freezer?

Fat bombs last a really long time in the freezer. Just store them in a sealed freezer-safe bag or container. They will stay fresh for up to 6 months.

Keep in mind that if you freeze them, they will have a thicker texture that is more difficult to bite. They are easier to chew if you let them thaw a bit first.

What other flavors of fat bombs can I make?

I love how easy these fat bombs are to personalize and change.

Drizzle some sugar-free chocolate syrup on top. Or, melt some sugar-free dark chocolate and pour them on top, making layers.

You can also crush sugar-free peppermint candies and sprinkle them on top!

This is a very basic recipe that lends itself to a ton of creativity. Have fun with it! Just make sure to use all sugar-free options when you add things to it.

My favorite brand to use is ChocZero. I highly recommend checking it out.

Can I use erythritol instead of stevia drops?

Yes, you can use any kind of your favorite sugar substitute. In order to maintain the texture, I recommend using a liquid or granular sugar substitute.

Make sure to not use a powdered sugar substitute.

Why are these fat bombs such a healthy keto snack?

It took some time and research for me to fully understand why I needed to increase my fat intake on the low carb way of eating. And, if you try to read science articles on gluconeogenesis, it may be way over your head!

Sometimes it's difficult for me to get adequate dietary fat in my diet as a lot of my favorite snacks aren't very high in fat.

To get more fat in my diet, I've started to make fat bomb recipes which are very popular for those on low carb keto diets.

I love simple recipes and this three-ingredient recipe for white chocolate high fat keto treats couldn't be easier.

    Ingredients

    • ¼ cup cocoa butter about 25g
    • ¼ cup coconut oil about 35g
    • 10 drops vanilla stevia drops
    US Customary - Metric

    Instructions

    • Melt together cocoa butter and coconut oil over low heat or in double boiler.
    • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla flavored stevia drops.
    • Pour into molds.
    • Chill until hardened.
    • Remove from molds and keep stored in the refrigerator.

    Notes

Makes 8 fat bombs (1 tablespoon healthy oil each)
Vanilla extract is a bit difficult to work in. I've found a powdered vanilla works a little better as does the powdered stevia extract.

Very disappointed. I didn’t care for these at all. There wasn’t much flavor and it was just mildly flavored oil. In high hope, I made a double batch, but couldn’t even eat one, and am tossing them all.

These were created to use as a snack with egg fasting so the ingredients are limited. You can add in some flavored collagen or powdered sweetener and extract if needed to lessen the oil and up the flavor.
